Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF): The LCFF is a funding system tht gives local school boards control over how to use funds and resources. Having local control over spending allows CUSD to address our students' specific needs, including our English learners, our students from low-income families, and our foster youth.

Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP): The LCAP is a plan that helps our school district identify needs and establish goals to direct our LCFF spending. To create our LCAP, we gather and study data, consider best practices, and discuss how best to invest in our students.

Community Advisory Committee (CAC): A CAC meets to discuss the needs parents, community members, and CUSD employees see. This committee helps create the LCAP, which in turn creates the LCFF. In other words, parents, employees, and community members can share their thoughts on educational goals and spending.
